Boat tour of the Port of Rotterdam

Immediately following the formal educational programme on Friday, delegates will be transported to a facility visit in and around Rotterdam (pre-registration is required).

Discover a buzzy Port of Rotterdam and its various operating industries aboard the Nieuwe Maze boat. As the Port is recreating and modernizing itself, the visit will highlight former transshipment sites turned into a new hub bolstering pioneering and artisan production companies, creative entrepreneurs and companies in the circular production industry.

Itinerary

14:15                       Bus transfer from Hilton Rotterdam to Hotel New York

14:30                     Onboarding Nima boat

14:45 – 15:15         sailing to Rotterdam Makers District (RDM) Rotterdam past Floating Farm, Rotterdam Fruit Wharf,  Americold, HIWA, Continental Juice

15:15 – 16:00         Guided tour of RDM innovation and research centre. The former yard of the Rotterdamsche Droogdok Maatschappij (RDM) now offers companies education and research. In the middle of the port - but next to the city – startups and researchers work together on innovations that contribute to a smart port and shape the industry of the future!

16:15                       Boarding and return to Rotterdam Shortsea Terminal sailing past Cool Port, Floating Farm, Rotterdam Fruit Wharf, Americold, HIWA

17:30                      Arrival at Hotel New York

17:45 – 18:15         Bus transfer to Hilton Rotterdam
