The World Food Logistics Organization (WFLO) will be the primary source for education and technical information on the proper handling and storage of perishable products and the development of systems and best practices for the safe, efficient, and reliable movement of food to the people of the world.
WFLO delivers education and research to the industry and empowers economic development by strengthening the global cold chain.
WFLO was founded in 1943 as The Refrigeration Research Foundation (TRRF). It is a scientific and educational foundation whose purpose is to advance the application of refrigeration technology for better preservation of food and commodities; develop and support research in the science of refrigeration; cooperate with government and private institutions in research activities; train and educate refrigerated warehouse/distribution personnel; and establish and make available a repository of scientific information specific to this industry. WFLO is led by a Board of Governors who are advised by a Scientific Advisory Council comprised of top scientists with expertise in food science.
Named in honor of Bill Hudson, the Hudson Global Development Fund supports international programs and education and provides micro-grants to individuals and small enterprises to enhance their production, post-harvest, or cold chain capacities. Learn more and donate »
